Global Economy
Global Economy refers to the total economies of Therra. While many small hamlets and even some cities are merchantillistic, most of the known world is part of a Market Economy; one in which the standard unit for trade is the Gold piece. While Gold can take many shapes and sizes, most Gold pieces weigh around 1.5 onces. There are over 30 known gold piece varients, but the major emblems are: The Maddocks Gate, King of Three Rivers, Philane Mark, Orcish King, Waterdeep Councilmen and the Port O' Bounty 'x'. General goods circulate based around the Hub, Maddocks Gate. It's influence on trade, many scholars suggest, is almost dangerous. Because of the absurd population coupled with the huge cashflow, the poverty line is exgaggerated. As such, Maddocks Gate runs one of the highest inflation rates in the Kingdom. Very small secluded desert villages have much higher inflation rates, but extreme conditions always increase prices.

Inflation Rate
Inflation is the proccess of monetary units holding less or more value, depending on their availability. The large table above describes different inflation rates, Maddocks Gate being the highest. This is due to the fact that a huge percentage of the world economy occurs within the walls of Maddocks Gate. Money is far easier to obtain in MG, and thus its value is poor. Gry has a rigidly monitored economy, and as a result the inflation is low. The only kingdom with a negative inflation rate is Mithril Hall, this is most likely because Dwarves horde their gold, and spend it very rarely, as well as the fact that they provide a large percentage of all precious metals.
Price of Salt
This refers to the average price of salt, therefore providing a benchmark of the economies. Salt was chosen because it is valuable and usually not succeptable to fads and trends. It is both required in every economy and important.
Trade Based?
Trade based economies are the vast majority of all economies in Therra. This means economes that require trade to be functional. Though the Badlands does trade, embargoes are ineffective and have been attempted to no avail.
Total Worth (Monetary)
This is the actual amount of currency the government is worth. The exception is Port O' Bounty, lacking any real governemnt. Instead this means the moneys that people contribute to the society.
Average Income
This is the amount an individual makes per year. Though almost never in straight gold, it is simplified to such for easier understanding and comparison. Maddocks Gates poverty is clearly outlined, as well as Philanes Prosperity.
Poverty %
The percentage of people either unemployed, or must struggle to stay fed on a daily bases. An overwealming number of Orcs are in this catagory, which makes scholars wonder why they haven't adopted a trade based economy.
Militaty/Gaurd Spending %
To give an idea of how much a kingdom is spending on protection, a percentage is broken down. Note that this also refers to all military spendings, including campaign costs.
