History

Nearly 1,000 years ago, there was a small settlement in northern Therra that went by the name of Sarwion. Its inhabitants would have to go about their days, farming, working, and fighting to survive the treacherous surroundings. This Sarwion was constantly under attack by the local orcs and beasts. After a decade of these pillaging attacks, Dorthaul, the leader of this small town, had enough. He called all the men in the town, and started to train them, since he was the only able warrior. Though his men were getting stronger they couldn't out muscle the orcs. One day after training his warriors, he decided to go out for a walk and get some mining done. He found vein of iron that looked very rich and untouched. After the first strike, a huge beaming light exploded from the vein blinding everything around. Dazzled by the light he began to trudge forward, but did not get too far before he collapsed. Dorthaul awoke just a few hours later and began to noticed the steady congregation of white ravens. There he was staring at this iron vein, still with a white beam of mystic light going straight up into the sky. A sword and Crown were levitating in this mysterious light. Dorthaul stood in udder disbelief of what just happened but found himself slowly walking towards the vein. As he grabbed the sword and crown, a angelic voice of a woman spoke to him and said, "Now it is your turn, Dorthaul, harness the power of the White Raven." He didn't know what to think. What was this woman talking about. Who was this woman? What was the sword and crown doing in this vein. He decided to think about after a good night of sleep. But, as he got back to he noticed another raiding party of orcs were attacking Sarwion. Dorthaul quickly gathered the towns warriors and finally fought back. More orcs started swarming in through the gates. "CHARGE!" He roared, "Show no mercy, remember what you are fighting for!" Something was different about this charge, his warriors seemed lifted, with strength, heart, and hope. His force quickly exterminated all the orcs. Just moments after the battle ended, White Ravens began gathering around Dorthaul once again, as he heard the angelic woman's voice. "Dorthaul, you now have a gift, teach your gift to your men, children, and keep your legacy living on, brave warrior." Dorthaul passed out again and awoke the next morning, with immense knowledge of a strange kind of Blade Magic. This style he named, "White Raven."

Because of Dorthaul's courage, strength, and heart, the townsfolk and officials decided to rename this town Dorthaulir. This once small town fighting to survive, has changed. Everyone's mind has been set to grow, prosper, become strong and wealthy. With this mentality, Dorthaul's new found strength in Blade Magic, this town will quickly go from a small settlement to a prospering kingdom. The city grew very fast, but Dorthaul also grew old. He was unable to battle so he passed his sword and crown to his son, Kroliir. Dorthaul died later that week, but Kroliir will keep his legacy, strength and blade live on. Kroliir later named his father's sword Blade of the Last Citadel, and named his crown, a very suiting name for his father, Crown of White Raven.

• Dorthaulir's rule is passed down through blood line. It has been for 900 years.
• For 900 years since Dorthaulir's creation, the queen has always bared a son.
• Though male babies are expected, and preferred, if that is not the case, the daughter would be ruler of Dorthaulir to carry on it's legacy.
• If that were the case, she would have to bare an offspring to keep the bloodline going.

• Sarwion was just a temporary name at the beginning of the settlment. They were going to vote for a name sometime in the future, but decided to rename their town after their great hero, Dorthaul

Laws and Customs

• Children from ages 6-14, at any time within those ages, must be trained in basic combat techniques. Their parents may allow their children to continue training to pursue a future position in a military type field.
• A Military position as an adult is often common because Dorthaulir's military is often stressed because of Gry's constant threat.

Facts

• Dorthaulir is a very militaristic kingdom, but never for greed or power, only to defend their kingdom. Their military power is needed to fend off the constant threat of the bordering nation, Gry.
• Every March 3rd, Dorthaulir Celebrates the "Day of Dorthaul." This celebration consists of parties, parades, music, and more all in honor of their first king, Dorthaul.
• Sarwion was just a temporary name at the beginning of the settlment. They were going to vote for a name sometime in the future, but decided to rename their town after their great hero, Dorthaul.
• Battle has been waging with Gry for years. Dorthaulir's border are heavily secured with soldiers protecting the citizens of their kingdom.
• Dorthaulir has been sending parties of adventurers outside of Gry to disrupt the slave trade. This have failed to worked thus far.
• All commanders, officers, captains, or any high ranking military official is trained in the ways of White Raven Blade Magic. The most highly skilled champions are sometimes found to be trained, but only so much training get in while Gry is constantly threatening. There is too many soldiers and too little time.
• All the soldiers dont need to trained in White Raven blade magic to maximize their charging fight style.

• This is a drawing of Castigo Citadel now in year 3552. It is on the outskirts of Dorthaulir's capital, White Raven. Castigo Citadel rarely gets attacked because of its location in the city.
• It is a huge attraction to civilians because of the amount of shops, markets, and other shops, some being quite exotic.
