Common Refers to Trade Tongue (Southern Convention), or Travellers Tongue (Northern Convention). It is by far the most commonly spoken language.

While it is one of the most basic languages known to Therra, its existance is often fiercly debated among scholars. The major opinions are:

• It is widespread because the god of travel made it so
• A group of powerful wizards created the language and spread it through an epic spell
