The Battle of Opus
General Info
- The Battle of Opus was a naval battle outside of the North Eastern coast of Therra. It was between Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse and The 3rd Battalion Fleet of Anchorin under Commodore Kelen. The battle resulted in disaster for the Four Horsemen, and Commodore Kelen was greatly rewarded for removing the threat. The battle resulted in the Deaths of 2 horsemen, Baryln Maedius and Jerril Pulé. Daz'un and Luzo escaped as stowaways in a Anchorin ship.
The battle
- The battle began on a foggy morning as the four horsemen were rounding the North Eastern corner of Therra, near Opus. Commodore Kelen had been spending the last 9 months hunting down the Four Horsemen, and by sheer chance he was heading in the opposite direction.
- The Commodore's fleet had 9 ships, with only two heavy warships. At the beginning of the battle, the Four Horsemen attempted to flank the Commodore's ship. They made a V formation and surround the fleet as follows:
- Black ships are Four Horsemen, Red ships are part of the 3rd battalion.

- The Commodore's ship was quickly torn to pieces by powerful cannons that decimated the hull. The commodore jumped off the back end with most of his men and swam towards his fleet. The Battalion was greatly intimidated but because the Commodore survived the fleet held it's resolve. The Four Horsemen, hoping for a quick victory, sailed right towards the lance formation of the Fleet.
- Cannon fire did little to nothing to either side, and the ships engaged in fiece close combat. Soon, pirates were decking the ships of the fleets and sword fighting went on for 45 min. This was the crucial stage for the Commodore's fleet, who greatly outnumbered the pirates. They beat the pirates barely in a long combat, but 2 of the captains were no where to be found. They were later found stowed away on one of the ships. They narrowly escaped capture.
- The 4 horses of the apocalypse were sunk on the spot, and now it is believed the region around their burial is cursed.
