Aphra, the Veiled City

General Information

• Aphra was nicknamed the veiled city as everyone it was widely unknown in it's founding but those who dared Ahneen's wasteland to visit the city returned home extremely wealthy.
• It is famous for it's spice trade.
• Ahneen supposedly where the secret Hadozee Island does most of it's trade. However, the existence of this island is still a dispute.
• Aphra was founded by exiled humans in the first great war.

Population

• Aphra houses a wopping 250,000 people considering it's fairly small size.
• Distribution: 85% Humans, 5% Gnomes, 2% Dwarves, 2% Hadozee, 6% other.

Economy

• Aphra's economy relies almost entirely on it's spice industry. It is the largest import and exporter of exotic spices in Therra, and it recieves large commissions on the trade done here. Merchant's find they can become extremely wealthy if they decide to travel here, however the road is risky and dangerous. Merchant's who don't find success find themselves stuck in a desert with no money or willpower to leave.
