      • Amring's "army" is nothing more than a small peacekeeping force.  A handfull of trained heavy infantry acts as the guard for Amring's governing council.

     Amring is a small, predominatly Halfling coastal kindgom in the south west.  It is a multiracial kingdom ruled by an oligarchal republic that strongly favors halflings. It was founded by traders and has become a must stop for all traveling merchants.  Amring is peacefull and only maintains a standing army for peacekeeping.

 

Geography


Tha majority of Amring is comprised of rolling hills of lush green grass and tree covered summits.

  • The Foothills of Amring: The Foothills cover almost 80% percent of Amring's territroy. It is in these hills that the Halfling population has established thier cities. Greatest of these cities is Dwendlehop of one hundred hills. The Hills make Amring a very pretty country complete with a vast assortment of good mythical creatures.
  • The Peddler's Path: Running from Three Rivers to Maddock's Gate, the "Peddler's Path" as its called in Amring is the primary trading route of Therra. Amring's small military does it's best to keep the road safe, however the Path is Amring's greatest single source of crime.

 

Life and Society


  • Because of the large multitude of races which live in Amring there is no diffinitive cultural patterns.
  • Amring's cities are filled with a variety of sounds, smells, and sights attributed to its many differnt cultures in residence.
  • All religions are practiced, althought Yolanda, the goddess of Halflings recieves the most attention.
  • Magic is not frowned upon in Amring, however it is not widley practiced due to the distrustfull views given to it by its nieghbors.
  • Amring is a kingdom that favors traders and common folk.
