Alignment
Alignment in Therra works quite differently from traditional 3.5 mechanics while keeping the gameplay intact. The purpose of altering the current system is to open up more roleplaying diversity as well as allowing deeper characters to be created. Hopefully, the system will create new styles of play and character personalities that were unachievable in the traditional 9 alignment system.
The Grid

Essentially, there are 5 points in every direction (towards lawful, chaotic, good, evil) that allow you to create flexible alignments. The boxes each represent the 4 points on the alignment grid that are considered officially the same alignment as in the usual rules. For example, the four dots in the upper middle box represent Neutral Good. There are 100 points, and thus 100 different possible alignments. On a character sheet, you must note the extent to which you are of a certain direction. A full blown LG paladin might write "Lawful: 5. Good: 5".
If you have another idea or a better grid system, just replace mine and write out the new rules. This is just a basic design after hearing Steve's idea.
