Ahneen Desert

Description

• The Ahneen Desert is the largest continuous desert in Therra, with an estimated area of 70,000 square miles.
• Ahneen is largely uncivilized, with not many cities besides a few prominent ones.
• The largest city in Ahneen is Aphra, a bustling port city. Aphra controls almost 25% of the drug trade.
• Ahneen desert is travelled to only by massive trade organizations because of it's harsh landscape. However, rich exotic spices and products are found in Ahneen.
• Ahneen also houses Azanbar, the famous Gnome city. It is believed by many to be a non-existent place. This is where Flampinfen was built.
• Ahneen is the supposed home of The Aevum Oasis (or the Oasis of Life). It has not been found by the general populace as of now.

Topography

• The entrance to Ahneen is a desolate desert, large and flat. As one travels deeper into Ahneen, it becomes more sandy and filled with dunes.
• There is little to no fresh water here.

History

• The Ahneen desert was inhabited centuries ago when a small band of humans fled from southern orc territory. They were exiled from the Kingdom of Three Rivers for their cowardice, and they remained in Ahneen. These humans founded Aphra.
• The Southern Sword are a group of bandits who inhabit the Ahneen Desert.
